Privacy policy
Papertree Digital is committed to protecting
and respecting your privacy. This page discloses our data
protection and privacy practices.
The information we collect from you
You may visit our website anonymously. We will collect personal
identification information from you only if you choose to submit
such information to us. This information will help us to provide a
better website service and to enable us to contact you from time to
time with marketing messages.
We use a web analytics tool to analyse site usage, how our users
arrive at our site, what they do on the site, what browser they are
using and so on. However, this analytics data, collected via a
JavaScript tag in the pages of our site, does not collect
personally identifiable information.
We also may use cookies on certain pages of our site to deliver
certain features or to provide information which is targeted to
your interests. Cookies may also be used to monitor site
performance and to measure site traffic and usage. Cookies are
stored on your hard drive, not on our site. Most cookies are
"session" cookies, meaning that they are automatically deleted at
the end of a session.
The other type of cookie we may use is a "persistent" cookie
which stays on your hard drive and is typically used so that you do
not need to log in manually every time you visit a website if you
are a registered user. The cookie contains no personally
identifiable information. Instead, it passes an ID to the web
server which correlates to your personal information. These cookies
are used to track how often you visit the site. You are always free
to decline cookies if your browser permits.
Newsletters, surveys and competitions. From
time to time we may request information from you via surveys,
competitions or for a particular service such as a newsletter
sign-up. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely
voluntary. Information requested may include contact information
and additional contextual information which may help us to learn
more about you and your interests. In the case of competitions, we
will not publish winners' details on the website though on request
we will provide details of any winner's name and organisation. If
the survey or contest has a sponsor then, with the user's consent,
we may share information given by entrants with the sponsor.
Blog. In order to leave a comment in our blog you have to give us
at least your name and email address. We do not use these contact
details for marketing purposes, nor will we share them with a third
party.
How we use your information
We use personally identifiable information about you (and
information which cannot be used to personally identify you) to
improve our sales and marketing, to analyse site usage, to improve
our content and product offerings and to customise our site's
content, layout, and services.
If you sign up for a newsletter or other service and explicitly
indicate that you agree to being contacted by us for marketing
purposes, we may use your email address to send you newsletters or
other communications.
Your personal information is stored in our databases and may be
transferred outside the European Economic Area to the United States
of America where it will be stored for the purposes of processing
newsletter broadcasting by our subcontractors. By submitting your
information, you consent to this transfer.
Email communications
Our regular email newsletters and other communications will
include a link which will enable you to remove your details from
our mailing database. You may also contact us directly to request
that your details are manually removed at any time.
Disclosure
We do not sell or rent any personally identifiable information
about you to any third party.
We cannot ensure that all of your private communications and
other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed
in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.
We may, for example, be forced to disclose information to the
government or third parties under certain circumstances, or third
parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private
communications. We can (and you authorise us to) disclose any
information about you to law enforcement or other government
officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or
appropriate, in connection with an investigation of fraud,
Intellectual Property Rights infringements, or other activity that
is illegal or may expose us to legal liability.
Changes to Privacy Policy
If we are going to use your personally identifiable information
in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we
will make any changes to this Privacy Policy at this current
URL.
Your acceptance of these
terms
By using this website you indicate that you accept this privacy
policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use this
website. Your continued use of this website following any changes
to this policy (as outlined above) will be deemed your acceptance
of those changes.
