Case studies: City of London Sinfonia
Flexible content management, a new website and email marketing
The City of London Sinfonia are one of the UK's leading
professional chamber orchestras. They give outstanding performances
in concert halls, schools, hospitals and community venues across
the world.
CLS came to us with a brief to create a website to help them
build their audience base through better engagement with their
audiences and stakeholders. They needed a fresh, simple and
professional website which they could manage themselves.
What we did
Starting from an excellent and thorough brief we suggested a
navigational structure which would group similar pages together and
help to strategise the organisation of content.
We laid out visual designs for the homepage and the key inside
pages, focusing upon making the most of some unusual and striking
photographs.
Part of the brief for the website was that it should establish a
formal identity for CLS in terms of the consistent use of colours
and with the presentation of the brand logo. A purple and orange
colourway was selected for the site.
The site integrates with third-party social APIs: with Posterous
for the CLS blog and with Flickr for the gallery.
All pages of the site are managed by CLS themselves through the
Umbraco content management system.
We also designed new email marketing templates for CLS for use
in our MailManager email marketing system.
What the client said
Papertree Digital have provided us with a simple
yet very effective website and CMS system. It is a huge improvement
on our previous website and we've had fantastic feedback from our
audiences, funders and partners alike on it.
The planning process was very well managed and we felt you
listened to what we wanted and who we are as an organisation and
fed this into the website design perfectly.
The CMS is one of the easiest and clearest I have used and the
support we get from Papertree when we hit small glitches is second
to none.
